Full Job Description
We are looking for an Estimating Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the preparation of quotations for aluminum and glazing works.
You will be responsible for project review specifications and details, coordinating with various suppliers to obtain material prices, coordinating with consultants and raising queries whenever necessary to complete quotations.
To qualify, you will possess a university degree and have a minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in the Aluminum and Glazing works field. You will have experience using industry-standard estimating software packages and possess excellent communication skills written and verbal.
Cost Estimation for aluminum works (facades, windows, doors, etc.)
Cost estimation for louvers, ACP, and curtain walls.
knowledge in different profile systems used in the UAE market aka GE, AREXAL, SCHUCO, TECHNAL, ALUMIL, ETC.
Preparing quotes and drawings for aluminum door window systems
Prepare shop drawings and door window drawings on AutoCAD
Prepare a cutting list and other related production documents for the production team.
Calculate glass sizes
Prepare order list and ordering of material (profiles and Glass) in coordination with the project manager.
The estimator has to go through all relevant specifications of an inquiry, standard drawing, and technical information related to the project.
Raise requests for information to the client for clarification if required.
Use manual calculation and software (FP PRO, Logikal, EXCEL) to prepare the proposed project quotation.
Coordinate with glass suppliers to get an estimated price.
Coordinate with the purchasing department to get an estimated price.
Coordinate with the Technical department for the technical-related query.
Daily coordination with commercial manager/Project Manager for priority of work.
Follow-up with the clients once the quotations are submitted.
Update the quotation list upon work progress and ensure all the quotations are up to date and submitted within the required deadline by the client.
Double-check the prices and ensure accurate pricing before referring to the manager.
Ensure to receive a constant update of the market prices before pricing, to keep up with the market inflation rate.

AutoCAD 2D
MS Office (Word, Excel) & some Internet essentials.
Costing Software
Experience with aluminum profiles
Required to have experience in aluminum window door facades curtain wall skylight cladding)
