Planner

Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Planner with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the UAE. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our projects and should possess the following skills and qualifications:

Responsibilities:

Utilize planning tools such as MS Excel, Access, MS Project, and Primavera (latest version).

Prepare weekly and monthly reports to track project progress.

Understand work scope, quantities, and logical sequences in engineering, manufacturing, and construction.

Conduct field scoping to clarify project scope as required.

Work with management and project/maintenance teams to develop work breakdown structures (WBS) for progress measurement, scheduling, cost estimating, and project control.

Prepare and manage the overall master schedule, integrating the work breakdown structure using scheduling software.

Understand contractual matters, earned value methods, scope management, and change control.

Coordinate schedules from multiple contractors and incorporate the information into the project's master schedule.

Prepare cost estimates and schedule bar chart plans, considering inputs such as manpower, equipment, and materials availability.

Develop and update resource histograms for manpower and equipment on a weekly or monthly basis.

Evaluate resource allocations and provide recommendations to maintain required progress.

Develop and implement plan versus actual progress charts (histograms/S curves) and report and analyze deviations from the plan.

Requirements:

A minimum of 7 years of experience in planning in the UAE.

Proficiency in planning tools, including MS Excel, Access, MS Project, and Primavera.

Strong understanding of work scope, work breakdown structures, and logical sequences.

Knowledge of contractual matters, earned value methods, and scope management.

Excellent coordination and communication skills.

Ability to develop resource histograms and evaluate resource allocations.

Proficiency in developing plan versus actual progress charts.
