Roles & Responsibilities

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals with behavioral and psychological disorders in clinical and other settings, while meticulously studying their medical and social backgrounds.

2. Employ a range of psychological interventions, including the selection, administration, and interpretation of intelligence, personality, and other relevant psychological tests to aid in diagnosing behavioral and mental health disorders, integrating interventions into treatment plans.

3. Engage in detailed discussions with clients regarding their treatment programs, ensuring clarity and understanding.

4. Maintain thorough documentation of therapy sessions in strict adherence to established policies and procedures.

5. Uphold the utmost confidentiality concerning patient information and records.

6. Provide prompt crisis intervention when immediate psychological treatment is required.

7. Identify and address the psychosocial and behavioral impacts of medical conditions on clients and their productivity.

8. Collaborate with mental health promotion initiatives to integrate counseling and consultation services into overall employee care.

9. Fulfill any additional job-related duties as assigned.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, or Occupational Health Psychology (mandatory).
- Registration as a Psychologist is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience post-registration as a Clinical/Health Occupational Health Psychologist (mandatory).
- License to practice as a Psychologist from the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP) is necessary.
- Excellent communication skills, ensuring information is conveyed clearly and understandably to clients.
- Proficiency in applying current special education methodologies and techniques.
- Strong interviewing and psychological/developmental evaluation abilities.
- Knowledge and proficiency in psychological test administration, scoring, and interpretation.
- Skillful in preparing and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain emotional stability when dealing with human suffering, emergencies, and stressful situations.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and therapeutic programs.
- Capability to assess the progress of therapeutic programs effectively.
