Job Description

Position Title: Store Keeper - Logistics

Job Summary
The Store Keeper - Logistics is responsible for managing and overseeing the storage, distribution, and inventory of goods within the warehouse. The role involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring the efficient operation of the store, and coordinating with other departments to meet their material needs. The Store Keeper will play a critical role in ensuring that inventory levels are maintained to meet the operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and location of goods.
- Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile discrepancies with the inventory system.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering when necessary.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of goods to prevent damage and loss.

- Receiving and Dispatching:
- Receive and inspect incoming goods for quality and quantity.
- Prepare goods for dispatch according to delivery schedules.
- Ensure all deliveries are properly documented and discrepancies are reported and resolved.

- Warehouse Operations:
- Organize the warehouse layout to optimize space utilization.
- Implement and maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness standards.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

- Coordination and Communication:
- Liaise with procurement, production, and sales departments to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure efficient transportation and delivery of goods.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory issues and requirements.

- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inventory transactions.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on stock levels, turnover, and inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications and Skills
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.

- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the logistics or warehousing industry.
- Experience with inventory management software and warehouse management systems.

- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.

Working Conditions
- This position is based in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- The role may require standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
