Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Planner

Role Overview:
The Maintenance Planner is a skilled professional experienced in creating comprehensive job packages from work order scopes. These packages include all necessary information about labor, materials, and services required for the safe, effective, and efficient execution of maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Job Package Creation:
- Develop detailed job packages from work order scopes, including labor, materials, and services required.
- Use archived plans or templates as a basis for new plans, and prepare these plans for input into SAP.

- Work Order Management:
- Review work orders for technical completeness; return incomplete work orders to PAC/gatekeeper.
- Store completed job packages in the active backlog once materials availability is confirmed.

- Field Checks & Planning:
- Conduct field checks when needed to gather information and optimize plans.
- Identify and specify task activities, materials, tools, and equipment required for tasks.
- Solicit and incorporate safety information and requirements into job plans.

- Safety & Optimization:
- Archive repetitive job plans and consider constructability, maintainability, and material costs when developing plans.
- Utilize effective technology and best practices to enhance planning efficiency.

- Communication & Documentation:
- Notify other crafts about their input requirements for job plans.
- Record all relevant tasks and information within the work order.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Education:
- Diploma in a Technical Field.

- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a maintenance environment, with expertise in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical fields.

- Skills:
- Proficient in visualizing basic process equipment.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in using IVPP to retrieve data.
- Ability to develop and manage job packages, archived plans, and templates.
- Demonstrated proficiency in DMS for accessing procedures and specifications.
- Understanding of safety needs and maintenance disciplines.

- Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of planning techniques, including critical path planning.
- Excellent knowledge of SAP (Planning, PM Module, and Materials Module).
- Basic understanding of piping specifications, IVPP (Engineering Specs), and outsourcing methods.
- Cost estimating knowledge and familiarity with EH&S and maintenance procedures.
