Job Title: Joinery Estimator

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate estimates for joinery projects by thoroughly analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other project documents.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information required for precise estimating.
- Review and comprehend project plans and specifications to identify potential risks and opportunities that may impact the estimate.
- Conduct research and source materials and labor costs from various suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accuracy in estimating.
- Create detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns for all components of joinery projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
- Provide timely and accurate estimates to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency in the proposal.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of historical cost data for joinery projects, allowing for future reference and analysis to improve estimating accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in material costs, labor rates, and market conditions to ensure that estimates reflect current market conditions accurately.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in joinery or interior fit-out estimating is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of joinery and interior fit-out processes, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and other project documents.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate estimating.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in estimating.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
