Job Description

Job Title: Sales Executive - Freight Forwarding

Position Summary

The Sales Executive - Freight Forwarding will support the Sales Manager in business development and revenue generation from specified geographical areas. This role involves achieving sales targets for core products, developing new business opportunities, and managing client relationships to maximize sales revenues.

Key Responsibilities

- Sales Management:
- Manage assigned geographical sales areas or product lines to achieve sales targets and corporate objectives.
- Develop and grow prospective clients while servicing existing accounts.
- Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients, ensuring deep knowledge of product offerings.
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and maintain a sales pipeline.

- Client Engagement:
- Make cold calls and follow up on new leads and referrals from field activities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner and prepare quotations through Customer Service/Sales Coordinator.
- Follow up on quotations and close business, addressing any lost opportunities with appropriate feedback.

- Operational Coordination:
- Hand over confirmed business to customer service with proper Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where required.
- Assist the credit control team in collecting dues and outstanding amounts from clients within the allocated credit limit.
- Provide timely submission of reports and MIS information on market and competitor activities to management.
- Ensure compliance with the credit approval process for credit customers.

- Marketing and Strategy:
- Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
- Maintain sales kits and up-to-date product knowledge.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field.
- Certifications or a Diploma in Sales Management is an advantage.

- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, specifically in selling or marketing air or sea products.

- Skills:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency in preparing and presenting proposals and reports.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
