Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager

The primary objective of this role is to effectively manage projects within a dynamic and rapidly growing Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector in the region, with a primary focus on digital transformation and Fintech initiatives. The projects will predominantly involve IT and functional aspects, potentially encompassing substantial elements of business change. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in establishing a robust governance framework for their assigned projects, ensuring seamless delivery, and placing a significant emphasis on stakeholder management and communication for overall project success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, and technical teams to define, design, and estimate project requirements and timelines.
- Directly manage key projects and programs, potentially including some Business Analysis work, setting high standards to lead by example.
- Provide oversight and critical analysis of project documentation, progress against plans, and identification of risks and issues for projects managed by others.
- Prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and report progress in alignment with Project Management Office (PMO) principles.
- Manage costs and benefits associated with projects.

- Proficiency in IT infrastructure and business change project and program management.
- Experience in project delivery within structured frameworks such as Prince or PMP.
- Expertise in estimating, scoping, and designing projects.
- Ability to produce high-quality documentation.
- Experience delivering presentations to senior stakeholders.
- Proven track record in actively managing project risks.
- Ability to facilitate workshops and meetings, including requirements gathering, project boards, technical review sessions, or process design workshops.
- Demonstrated ability to influence individuals outside of the direct reporting line.
- Exceptional attention to detail, emphasizing precision in requirements documents, weekly reports, and status updates.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools like SharePoint or similar portals.
- Ability to work effectively within an unstructured environment and without clear guidance.
- Technical background advantageous; the role may be suitable for a developer or engineer transitioning to a project management position.
- Good knowledge of corporate systems, such as HR, CRM, Finance systems, etc.
- Experience in managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and testing processes.
- Basic working knowledge of ITIL.
- Knowledge of the Banking and Financial Services industry is advantageous.

Professional Qualifications:

- A formal project management qualification, such as Prince 2 or PMP, is advantageous.
