Job Description

Reports to: Chief Accountant

JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent will be responsible for managing daily operations with banks, overseeing the execution cycle of various cash transactions, handling cash needs, and ensuring that cash levels align with the company's policies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsibilities / Performance Measures:

1. Analyze banking transactions to identify discrepancies and proactively resolve issues.

2. Maintain regular communication with banks as required.

3. Update authorized signatories on the bank's systems in line with updates in the Company Commercial registrar.

4. Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of all bank transactions in the system.

5. Prepare monthly and annual reconciliations related to banking activities.

6. Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.

7. Monitor financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies.

8. Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

9. Review and record all costs related to fund facilities accounts.

10. Record letters of credit and guarantees, and follow up regularly.

11. Generate regular reports based on financial data, detailing incoming and outgoing figures, gains, and losses.

12. Adhere to the company's policies and procedures.

Span of Communication:

- Internal: Various internal departments as per job requirements

- External: Communication with banks regarding reconciliation of accounts

Skills

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field.

- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.

- In-depth knowledge of accounting software and financial analysis.

- Proficiency in MS Office and related business tools.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills.

- Strong decision-making and analytical abilities.

- Sound knowledge of cost accounting with investigative and analytical skills.

- Familiarity with manufacturing processes.

- Awareness of Group-wide policies and procedures.

- Very good written and verbal communication skills.

- Very good interpersonal skills.
