Job Title: Chief Accountant

Job Summary:

The Chief Accountant will oversee the financial operations of Paris Group in Cairo. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective financial management. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, strategic thinker with a solid background in the fashion retail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Management:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage the company’s accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.

- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts for operations in Cairo.
- Monitor and analyze budget variances and provide actionable insights to management.
- Assist in financial planning and strategy development.

- Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
- Maintain and enforce a system of internal controls.

- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategy.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CMA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior accounting role within the fashion retail industry.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
