Cost Estimation/Tender Engineer

Job Opportunity: Cost Estimator

Responsibilities:

- Cost Estimation:
- Estimate costs for construction, engineering, manufacturing, quantity take-offs, or other implementation projects based on an analysis of project technical requirements.

- Research and Support:
- Provide group support in researching wage/equipment rates, production rates, construction materials, means, and methods.

- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect data and analyze all project costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment, and tooling to ensure accurate estimates.

- Schedule and Cost Management:
- Maintain schedule and cost data and references, identifying and quantifying potential cost uncertainties.

- Update Costs:
- Update costs based on new information and project scope changes.

- Proposal Conversion:
- Gather proposals, specifications, and related documents, liaising with stakeholders to convert specifications to cost estimates for new and current constructions.

- Coordination:
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, and other project stakeholders.

- Field Walk-Downs:
- Schedule and attend field walk-downs with customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel to understand and determine construction ability requirements.

- Data Entry:
- Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency in data entry.

- Additional Duties:
- Perform additional duties as determined by the Chief Estimator.

Skills:

- Education:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in (Architectural/Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) engineering.

- Experience:
- Minimum experience of 7-15 years (preferred minimum of 3 years of experience in KSA).
- Experience in Construction Projects.

- Knowledge:
- Understanding of engineering codes and safety standards.

- Language Skills:
- Excellent English language skills.
