Job Description

Job Title: Junior Engineer

The Junior Engineer will be responsible for generating and analyzing procedural well studies, supporting engineering designs and testing, and communicating with customers and vendors. The role involves field activities, troubleshooting, and contributing to technical reports and process improvements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Role Overview:

- Generate and check procedural well analyses to convey product benefits.
- Support engineering designs, product testing, and field demonstrations.
- Communicate with customers and vendors to meet internal and external demands.
- Assist in field activities, including troubleshooting and preparing investigation reports.
- Create technical reports and contribute to the improvement of company procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Participate in a training program covering drilling practices, software analysis, and site visits to drilling rigs (5-15 days each).
- Perform analyses of drilling products.
- Conduct and assist in training and continuing education for coworkers.
- Engage in the invention, design, analysis, prototyping, manufacturing, shop testing, and field testing of new products and improvements to existing products.
- Investigate field failures, prepare reports, and define product improvements.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently within the company and with customers and vendors.
- Build and sustain positive cooperative working relationships.
- Assist in maintaining or writing QA/QC procedures.
- Spend 80-90% of time in the office with 10-20% travel, including international travel.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as 100 klb compression tests.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Obtain a passport as required.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering with a GPA of 2.5 or greater.

- Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with oil field drilling practices and software analysis.
- Some design experience, including the use of software design analysis packages, and ongoing product improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Oil field drilling experience is preferable.
- Ability to qualify for a passport and travel domestically and internationally.
