Job Title: Cerner Patient Accounting & HEI Contract Management Specialist

Job Purpose

The Cerner Patient Accounting & HEI Contract Management Specialist will be responsible for analyzing, configuring, and optimizing Cerner and HEI RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) solutions. The role involves reviewing existing systems, making recommendations for improvements, developing and implementing new functionalities, and ensuring the effective management of patient accounting and registration systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

- System Analysis and Recommendations:
- Extract, review, and analyze the existing HEI Contract Management system configuration and build.
- Make recommendations based on Cerner best practices and model experience in comparison to the current RCM solution setup.
- Create detailed Project DCW (Design Change Work) and other relevant documents and designs based on Cerner best practices.

- System Configuration and Development:
- Perform new functionality development and update existing systems and applications configuration to achieve business goals.
- Add new components to existing CCL (Cerner Command Language) scripts and configure Cerner/HEI Patient Accounting and General Ledger solutions.
- Develop new CCL scripting functionality and configure Registration Management Solutions.
- Write new and update existing PMoffice rules in Registration and develop override standards for application-level preferences.

- Project Management and Documentation:
- Lead discussions and gather requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Interact with insurance companies to gather business requirements and write specification documents.
- Create solution designs for RCM projects and document any relevant issues and resolutions.
- Develop and apply project management techniques throughout the RCM project implementation.

- Quality Assurance and Testing:
- Review and clean up HEI Contract Management rules.
- Contribute to all aspects of RCM projects, including planning, design, build, testing, and deployment.
- Investigate and study the impact of proposed changes on system performance or end-user experience.

- Client Interaction and Support:
- Handle stressful situations, critical deadlines, and collaborate with Sidra business teams to ensure high service level delivery and technical sophistication.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a relevant discipline.
- 3+ years of experience as a Cerner RCM Application Specialist.
- 3+ years of experience as a HEI Global RCM Application Specialist.

- Skills and Expertise:
- Understanding of healthcare business processes, operational and functional workflows related to Cerner and HEI Patient Accounting and Registration Solutions.
- Expertise in Cerner Millennium Revenue Cycle solutions (Patient Accounting, GL, Patient Access, Registration, and Scheduling).
- Demonstrated expertise in HEI Global Revenue Cycle Contract Management applications.
- Ability to gather RCM stakeholder requirements and conceptualize system configuration or development solutions.
- Knowledge of Cerner General Ledger design and configuration and Cerner Millennium Build Certificates.
