Job Description: Financial Accountant
Roles & Responsibilities:
As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of financial records and processes. Your key duties include:
1. Financial Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
2. Bookkeeping: Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately and ensure proper documentation.
3. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, bill payments, and collections.
4. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with company records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts based on past performance and future goals.
6. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities as required.
7. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in preparing and filing tax returns.
8. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
9. Audit Preparation: Assist in preparing audit documentation and liaise with auditors during financial audits.
10. Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software and financial management tools effectively to streamline processes.
11. Adherence to Regulations: Stay updated on accounting standards, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.
12. Communication: Collaborate with other departments, vendors, and clients to resolve financial issues and ensure smooth operations.
13. Problem-solving: Identify financial problems or discrepancies and propose effective solutions to address them.
14. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
15. Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of financial information and handle sensitive data with discretion.
16. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
17. Professional Development: Continuously enhance accounting knowledge and skills through training and certifications.
Desired Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate should be proficient in accounts and possess the following qualifications:
- Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
