Job Description

Title: Accounting & Finance

Position Overview:

The Accounting & Finance Professional plays a pivotal role in the financial health and stability of the organization. They are responsible for managing various financial tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making processes. This role demands a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).

2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency.

3. Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Evaluate financial performance, assess risks, and identify opportunities for improvement.

4. Compliance and Regulation: Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure compliance with tax laws, auditing standards, and reporting requirements. Prepare and file regulatory reports accurately and on time.

5. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Identify and address control weaknesses or deficiencies.

6. Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial resources. Monitor banking activities, perform cash reconciliations, and execute fund transfers as necessary.

7. Audit Support: Coordinate and facilitate external audits and examinations. Provide necessary documentation, explanations, and support to auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.

8. Financial Systems Management: Utilize financial software and tools to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data accuracy. Participate in the implementation and enhancement of financial systems.

9. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial information effectively to internal stakeholders, including management, department heads, and board members. Interpret financial data, provide insights, and respond to inquiries.

10. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, streamline workflows, and improve reporting accuracy. Recommend and implement changes to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CFA certification preferred.

- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a comprehensive understanding of financial principles and practices.

- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.

- Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

- Sound understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

- Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all financial activities.
