Job Title: Central Tower Solar Field Engineer

What we need:

We are seeking a Central Tower Solar Field Engineer for the Noor Energy 1 CSP plant. This role is pivotal in ensuring all engineering aspects of the solar field meet technical requirements for optimal operation. You will provide expertise in the control and maintenance of the solar field, guiding operational activities and supporting the maintenance team to ensure efficient functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Control Room Operation: Guide and perform operations of the solar field control system, overseeing heliostats aimed at a tower to collect thermal energy for power generation.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for maintenance and troubleshooting of the solar field and its auxiliary systems such as cameras, weather sensors, gears, and communication devices.
- SFINCS Control System: Offer expertise and support for the SFINCS control system, including functionalities, commands, screens, architecture, and communications.
- Commissioning Coordination: Act as a primary point of contact for coordinating commissioning activities with other entities on site, including EPC contractors, DCS operators, and Solar Field workers.
- Multidisciplinary Environment: Work within a multidisciplinary environment encompassing software, control systems, communication systems, databases, and mechanical components.

Who will fit:

- Experience: 7-10 years of experience in designing and/or maintaining Tower Technology Solar power plants, with at least 3 years specifically in solar fields.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.

- Skills and Knowledge:
- Practical experience in I&C (Instrumentation and Control) engineering.
- Knowledge of Automation Networks and Programming Languages (preferred).
- Familiarity with downtime analysis and problem-solving tools.
- Proficiency in maintenance management methods, predictive inspection tools, and CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System); knowledge of SAP Template is desirable.
- Understanding of power generation plant operations.
