Job Title: Civil Estimation Engineer

Position Overview:
The Civil Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ), technical and commercial proposals, and ensuring alignment with customer requirements. This role involves close coordination with various departments to deliver accurate estimates and proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct site visits as required and maintain an office-based presence.
- Prepare Project Management System (PMS) templates based on cash loading.
- Ensure comprehensive knowledge of project specifications, drawings, BOQ, client requirements, and HSE regulations.
- Develop and continuously improve the estimation function for projects.
- Plan and schedule tendering activities while monitoring the tendering program.
- Estimate man-hour budgets based on shop drawings, method statements, specifications, and work plans.
- Review contract specifications to establish client requirements.
- Interpret customer data sheets, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate project success.
- Prepare bills of materials based on productivity metrics and current material prices.
- Gather site inputs related to work outputs and methodologies to maintain a data bank.
- Support the project team on technical issues and provide assistance to the Projects Manager/Operations Manager as needed.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and management as required.
- Prepare variations for clients as directed by the Project in charge.
- Create concept and as-built drawings for projects.

Qualifications:

- Education: Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
- Special Requirements:
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and MS Project.
- Fluent in English.
- Essential experience in cost planning and cost estimating.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently.
