Job Description: Joinery Estimator

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Analyze project requirements and specifications to accurately determine cost estimates for joinery projects.
- Prepare detailed take-offs and material estimates for various joinery items based on project blueprints and specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information required for precise estimates.
- Evaluate and analyze bids and proposals from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitiveness and quality of materials and services.
- Generate accurate and timely cost estimates and submit them to clients in accordance with project timelines.
- Review and negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with clients and subcontractors to ensure mutual agreement and adherence to budget constraints.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to cost estimates as needed, considering any changes or deviations from the original plan.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation and records related to cost estimates, project specifications, and contracts.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and material costs to ensure that estimates are current and accurate.
- Provide support and guidance to project teams during the construction phase to address any cost-related issues and ensure adherence to budget constraints.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in joinery estimation within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and cost factors.
- Proficient in using estimation software and tools to generate accurate cost estimates.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for precise calculations and estimations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing cost estimates and reviewing contracts.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address any challenges or deviations during the estimation process.
