Job Description: Foreman

Roles & Responsibilities:

Job Summary:
The Foreman is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the plant and serving as the primary point of contact between factory workers and supervisors. Key duties include coordinating daily tasks, creating worker schedules, overseeing site quality, and reporting project progress to superiors.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Supervise workers on the shop floor and provide guidance to welders, fabricators, and helpers as needed.
2. Prepare daily attendance records for the shop floor staff.
3. Assess the quality of workmanship performed by welders, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
4. Prepare production reports and monitor man-hours on the shop floor.
5. Assist in issuing necessary tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and consumables to welders.
6. Conduct safety meetings daily after the lunch break to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
7. Motivate employees to achieve high production standards while maintaining quality according to customer requirements.
8. Confirm job completion in the SAP system and handle related tasks such as raw material requisition, consumable requisition, production order confirmation, and breakdown notification through SAP.
9. Verify welding procedures and standards to ensure compliance.

Candidate Requirements:

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge:
- 4 years of relevant experience.

Minimum Entry Qualifications:
- Higher School Diploma.

Language Skills:
- Fluency in Hindi and English speaking.

Technical & Non-Technical Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of standard tools, equipment, materials, methods, and practices relevant to the trades.
- Familiarity with occupational hazards and safety precautions associated with welding and fitting.
- Considerable knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals encountered in welding tasks.
- Ability to supervise subordinate journeymen and helpers effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel from other departments.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, interpret sketches, diagrams, blueprints, and broken parts.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Proficiency in the use and maintenance of tools and equipment used in work assignments.

Education:
- Higher School Diploma or equivalent.
