Job Description

As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for the efficient procurement of goods and services essential to our operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization's procurement needs are met while adhering to budgetary and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and engage with suppliers to secure cost-effective and high-quality goods and services.

  2. Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's requirements while optimizing costs and lead times.

  3. Purchase Orders: Create, review, and manage purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  4. Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements.

  5. Quality Control: Ensure that purchased products meet quality standards and specifications, and address any quality issues promptly.

  6. Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement expenses, aiming to reduce costs without compromising on quality.

  7. Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels, track stock levels, and reorder supplies as needed.

  8. Documentation: Keep accurate records of all procurement activities, including contracts, supplier agreements, and purchase orders.

  9. Compliance: Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

  10. Reporting: Generate reports on procurement activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management.

  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
