Roles & Responsibilities:

Ensure a delightful customer experience through fair, friendly, and courteous service at the checkout counter.
Proficiently execute sales transactions using a cash register, including scanning items, itemizing purchases, and calculating totals.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.
Assist with bagging purchases when required, ensuring items are handled with care.
Process return transactions efficiently, following established procedures.
Accurately itemize and tally purchases, recording prices, departments, and tax status while operating the cash register.
Update prices as necessary by consulting price sheets and promotional materials.
Apply discounts by redeeming coupons as applicable, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
Accept various forms of payment including cash, checks, and credit cards, and provide change when needed.
Ensure cash drawer accuracy through meticulous counting at the beginning and end of shifts.
Provide pricing information to customers upon request and uphold checkout procedures.
Contribute to operational improvements by reporting necessary changes and suggesting improvements.
Desired Candidate Profile:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or any related field preferred.
1-2 years of retail experience desired, with a strong background in customer service.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Readily adjusts schedule, tasks, and priorities to meet business needs and customer demands.
Preferred candidates with knowledge of SAP or similar retail management software.
