Job Title: Security Officer

Roles & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Security Officer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in security within the hospitality sector, along with a SIRA certificate. Key responsibilities include:

- Reporting all incidents and escalating them to the immediate supervisor, ensuring follow-through until resolution.
- Monitoring and managing the entrance onto the property, restricting access to unauthorized individuals, and reporting any attempted breaches.
- Controlling access of all vehicles onto the property, reporting any unauthorized attempts to breach security.
- Issuing and collecting keys and security passes, ensuring the safekeeping of any retained identification.
- Maintaining visitors/contractors logbooks and verifying Property Removal Authorization.
- Controlling access to sensitive areas and diverting unregistered guests to reception.
- Collaborating with front office colleagues to monitor and control traffic movement within the property.
- Enforcing parking regulations to ensure vehicles park only in designated areas.
- Maintaining all related registers, logbooks, and completing reports in GSIICS as required.
- Implementing crowd control measures as needed and managing responsibilities within GSOM.
- Proactively reporting any incidents or suspicious activities to relevant supervisors.
- Adhering to departmental policies and procedures, staying updated with all revisions.
- Conducting comprehensive security and fire/life safety patrols, recording and reporting any defects or irregularities.
- Ensuring all lost and found property is handed in for recording and storage promptly.
- Providing shift handover to the Supervisor, including pending duties and related information.
- Enforcing policies related to specific postings, such as contractor access.
- Escalating incidents to the appropriate department or personnel as necessary.
- Conducting patrols at every post as required.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the Director of Security or ExCom.
