2. Forensic Analysis: Apply principles of structural engineering and forensic analysis techniques to assess the condition and performance of structures. Utilize tools such as structural modeling software, finite element analysis (FEA), and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to evaluate structural integrity and behavior.

3. Site Inspections: Perform on-site inspections of buildings, bridges, and other structures to visually assess structural conditions, identify defects, and document evidence of damage. Conduct measurements, tests, and surveys to gather additional information as needed.

4. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, analysis results, and conclusions from structural investigations. 7. Code Compliance Review: Evaluate structures for compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Identify code violations, structural deficiencies, and safety hazards, and provide recommendations for bringing structures into compliance.

8. Client Consultation: Consult with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, insurance adjusters, and legal representatives to address concerns, answer questions, and provide technical guidance on structural issues and remediation strategies.

9. Continuing Education: Stay abreast of advancements in structural engineering, forensic analysis techniques, and building codes through continuing education, professional development activities, and participation in relevant seminars, conferences, and workshops.

10. Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy, reliability, and integrity of forensic analysis procedures, methodologies, and documentation. Adhere to industry best practices, ethical standards, and quality assurance protocols in all aspects of structural forensics work.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; Master's degree or PhD preferred.

- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Structural Engineer (SE) license required.

- Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in structural engineering, with a focus on forensic analysis and investigation of structural failures.

- In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles, building codes, and construction practices.

- Proficiency in structural analysis software, forensic analysis tools, and CAD/BIM software.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.

- Experience providing expert witness testimony and litigation support in legal proceedings preferred.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
