Job Title: Accountant

Roles & Responsibilities:

As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial transactions. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Purchase Order Verification: Confirm that Purchase Orders (LPOs) are properly authorized, and terms and conditions comply with company policies and procedures.

2. Invoice Verification: Verify that invoices and signed delivery notes match the terms of the LPOs, including rates and quantities.

3. Bills Booking: Prepare and book various types of bills, including purchase vouchers, and communicate any personal expenses to the Accounts Receivable department.

4. Month-End Transactions: Handle month-end transactions such as provisions for expenses, prepaid expenses, PR expenses, and pension fund bookings.

5. Tax Invoices: Issue tax invoices in compliance with relevant regulations.

6. Asset Management: Maintain records for all asset purchases, including documentation and physical verification. Coordinate with the insurance coordinator to ensure assets are adequately insured.

7. Fixed Assets Management: Prepare CAPEX forms for fixed asset requirements, record sales and disposals of assets, and ensure proper coding and sub-ledger entries.

8. Insurance Management: Prepare annual insured value lists for vehicle insurance premiums, submit ROP/TPI statements to insurance companies, and maintain communication regarding endorsements.

9. General Ledger Scrutiny: Conduct scrutiny of the general ledger related to assigned functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

10. Other Tasks: Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the Accounts Manager, demonstrating initiative and proactive involvement.
