Job Description:

The Income Auditor is a vital role responsible for auditing daily revenue postings and adjustments, ensuring accurate balancing of cash receipts and credit cards. This role involves tracking daily payroll reports, preparing income breakdowns for hotel outlets, and distributing daily management reports. The Income Auditor collaborates with department managers to ensure the hotel complies with established standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Balance hotel cash receipts and credit cards.

2. Verify and post necessary adjustments for daily charges.

3. Audit previous day postings for accuracy.

4. Prepare income breakdowns for each hotel outlet.

5. Distribute daily management reports.

6. Follow up on revenue audit issues in compliance with policies and procedures.

7. Resolve cashier over/shorts and assist Credit Manager with credit card chargebacks.

8. Maintain orderly daily audit packs for the hotel.

9. Investigate and respond to internal inquiries regarding daily reports.

10. Prepare monthly sales and use tax returns.

11. Audit telephone revenue vs. call accounting reports.

12. Audit banquet checks for accuracy.

13. Balance front desk and F&B paperwork.

14. Load monthly forecast and last year into income report.

15. Monitor Cash Machine activities.

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Accounting/Business preferred.

2. Knowledgeable in accounting principles.

3. Previous AP experience, Hotel Night Audit, or Front Office experience preferred.

4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word.

5. Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.

6. Strong organizational skills with demonstrated numerical aptitude.

7. Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.

8. Ability to solve problems in a timely and efficient manner.

9. Must be able to work well under pressure.
