Job Description

Job Description: Safety Training Coordinator

Responsibilities:

1. Training Program Development:
- Plan and develop training techniques for the proper implementation of the overall safety program in the terminal.
- Develop monthly and weekly safety programs for different work activities.

2. Work Permit Training:
- Conduct training for preparing and evaluating work permits.

3. Safety Decision Making:
- Conduct training on safety decision-making for operational issues.

4. Handling Hazardous Containers:
- Conduct training on the proper handling of hazardous containers, ensuring compliance with international Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) code.

5. Chemical Safety Education:
- Educate employees on safety measures to control the leaking of hazardous chemicals, including proper disposal procedures.

6. Accident and Incident Investigation:
- Conduct training for the HSS team on accident and incident investigations, determining causes, effects, and preventive measures.

7. Firefighting Training:
- Conduct firefighting training, mock drills, and proper handling of portable fire extinguishers.

8. Traffic Safety Education:
- Educate employees about driving techniques and traffic safety inside the terminal.

9. Training Summary and Reports:
- Prepare and submit monthly and annual training summaries to management, including training statistics.

10. Awareness Programs:
- Conduct awareness programs for all company employees based on their job and field.

11. Safety Exhibitions and Campaigns:
- Prepare safety exhibitions and awareness campaigns as needed.

12. Safety Management System:
- Implement safety management system in training requirements.

13. Assistance and Follow-up:
- Assist Safety Executives and Supervisors when required.
- Follow up with other departments regarding chemical safety.

14. Safety Reports:
- Prepare safety reports and updates as needed for HSSS management.

Skills:

1. Education and Training:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial safety, engineering, or science.
- Training courses in chemical safety, fire safety, traffic safety, industrial safety, and related fields.

2. Certifications:
- NEBOSH International General Certificate.
- Certificate of qualification in training.

3. Communication Skills:
- Excellent report writing, presentation, and speaking skills in both English and Arabic.
