Job Title: Accountant
Roles & Responsibilities:
We are hiring for the position of Accountant for one of our esteemed client companies located in Sharjah, UAE. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in the General Trading sector. Responsibilities for this role include:
1. Recording and Summarizing Financial Transactions:
- Accurately record and summarize financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and standards.
2. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
3. Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:
- Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, collections, and payments.
4. Month-end Close Activities:
- Perform month-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
5. Audit Assistance and Compliance:
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
6. Financial Records Maintenance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records to facilitate decision-making and ensure transparency.
7. Tax Preparation and Filings:
- Prepare tax returns and filings in compliance with local regulations and assist in tax planning activities.
8. Payroll Processing:
- Support payroll processing activities to ensure accurate and timely payment to employees.
9. Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters and provide necessary support and information.
10. Identifying Financial Discrepancies:
- Identify and report any financial discrepancies or irregularities and assist in resolving them promptly.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in the General Trading, Import, or Export sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the dynamic nature of accounting and finance.
