Junior Accountant

Job Summary:
Our company is seeking a Junior Accountant with 1-3 years of experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will assist in managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the senior accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
- Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records, etc. as assigned.
- Update financial data in databases to ensure information is accurate and immediately available when needed.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
- Assist with other accounting projects as needed.

Requirements:
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting, specifically within the construction industry.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
