Job Title: Structural Engineer (Bridges)

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Design and Analysis: Design and analyze bridge structures using advanced engineering software, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
- Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections and evaluations to assess existing conditions and identify potential structural challenges.
- Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and contractors, to develop innovative and efficient bridge solutions.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering reports and documentation, communicating design methodologies and findings clearly.
- Modeling: Utilize finite element analysis and other modeling techniques to predict structural performance under various load conditions.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies, incorporating innovative practices into bridge design.
- Project Proposals: Lead the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates, ensuring alignment with client expectations and budget constraints.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines and deliverables, maintaining accountability for meeting crucial milestones.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential safety hazards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as adherence to quality assurance protocols.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred for advanced roles.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in bridge design and analysis, with proven project management capabilities.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with advanced software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, or STAAD.Pro.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to articulate complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance in engineering outputs.
