Position Title: Consultant Obstetrics/Gynecology Subspecialist

Location: Salmiya, Kuwait

Job Description:

A prestigious hospital in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Consultant Obstetrics/Gynecology Subspecialist. This hospital is renowned for its excellence in healthcare within Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide specialized clinical services to patients for the diagnosis and management of gynecologic disorders and obstetrics.

2. Serve as a staff member of the Mother and Child Health Institute, delivering clinical care and consultative services to inpatients and outpatients with gynecologic disorders or those requiring obstetrical care.

3. Report to the Unit Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Chair of the Mother and Child Health Institute.

Principal Duties:

1. Provide person-centered care and consultations in the area of expertise to inpatients and outpatients.

2. Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with the highest standards of care.

3. Complete all medical documentation and reports in a timely and professional manner.

4. Develop collegial relationships and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

5. Actively participate as a member of multi-disciplinary teams and demonstrate teamwork.

6. Share clinical responsibilities according to operational needs, including working evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

7. Respond to emergency requests for assistance from colleagues and provide consultations when required.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty post-residency training, preferably in a university-affiliated teaching hospital.

2. Board certification or fellowship in the relevant medical body (e.g., Fellowship of the Royal Colleges, CCST, CCT, GMC Specialist Registration, American Board).

3. Three years' experience post subspecialty and board certification.

4. Valid license to practice medicine.

5. Excellent command of verbal and written English.

6. Ability to adjust to group practice in a medical environment.

7. Thorough knowledge of medical ethics, with a focus on maintaining confidentiality.

8. Personality that inspires confidence and trust in patients and colleagues.

9. Willingness to work shifts (8hrs / 5.5 days).
