Job Opportunity: Examination Officer - Aldar Academies

Location: Abu Dhabi

Commencement: Immediately

Aldar Academies is currently seeking an Examination Officer for Al Bateen Academy in Abu Dhabi. Al Bateen Academy is a high-achieving British and IB World School offering an exciting educational experience from FS1 to Year 13.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or relevant vocational qualification.

Minimum Experience:

- Highly organized administrator with project management experience.

- Experience managing people and working to operational deadlines and procedures.

- Experience with examinations modules CPD: Pearson/Cambridge.

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:

- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Database.

- Familiarity with school/exam systems (MIS, Engage, Edexcel, CIE, Results Plus).

- Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, and deal with challenging situations.

- Knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations.

- Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

Responsibilities:

Main Duties:

- Manage the daily operation of external/internal examinations.

- Organize exam materials, including safe custody, in accordance with regulations.

- Organize examination rooms in compliance with JCQ and IB regulations.

- Produce a center timetable for internal and external exams.

- Liaise with examination boards and school staff on examination entries and arrangements.

- Provide SEN/POD provision for internal/external examinations.

- Disseminate information and address queries regarding external examinations.

- Collect and dispatch coursework and exam scripts.

- Brief candidates on examination regulations.

- Provide HOD with necessary access to exam portals.

- Oversee invigilation and support the Assistant Principal in training teachers.

- Process enquiries about results and requests for return of scripts.

- Liaise with the Finance Office to ensure exam fees are collected.

- Keep up to date with the requirements of the role, including online reading and training.

- Provide accurate analysis and records of school performance for IGCSE examinations.

Specific Duties:

- Act as the Cover Supervisor to ensure teacher absence is covered.

- Support the Assistant Principal in producing the school curriculum timetable.

- Organize CAT, GL, and NGRT testing and timetables.

- Produce spreadsheets and statistical data based on results for various assessments.

- Ensure an adequate number of CAT4 and GL assessments are purchased for administering assessments.

- Undertake relevant administrative work and occasional Reception cover as requested.

- Work with the Assistant Principal to ensure internal school data is uploaded on the ADEK ESIS portal.

Working Hours:

- 7:30 am to 3:30 pm; Sunday to Thursday; Term-Time only; Local Contract.

- The post holder may work some evenings and weekends during examination seasons.
