Job Title: Teacher of Mathematics and Economics

Location: Mamoura British Academy, Abu Dhabi

Roles & Responsibilities:

A. Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Foster positive relationships with all members of the school community.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan engaging lessons and support student development.
- Work with parents to ensure students' happiness and academic success.
- Act as a form tutor and support the pastoral needs of students.

B. Teaching and Learning:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in Mathematics and Economics according to the British curriculum.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment through effective classroom management.
- Plan and deliver lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their development.
- Ensure the integration of Mamoura British Academy's vision and mission into the curriculum.

C. Assessment and Data:
- Monitor and track student progress using the school's assessment system.
- Utilize assessment data to inform planning, provision, and intervention strategies.
- Provide feedback to parents on students' progress during Parent-Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

D. Behaviour Management and Duties:
- Implement the school's Behaviour Policy effectively.
- Manage classroom behaviour to inspire, motivate, and challenge students.
- Serve as a positive role model and uphold the school's values and expectations.
- Carry out assigned duties in accordance with school policies.

E. Wider Professional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with department colleagues to support planning, assessment, and resources.
- Participate in school events, outings, and activities, including extracurricular activities (ECA).
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student achievements and well-being.
- Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school community.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related subject with PGCE or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in English National Curriculum.

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Proven success as an outstanding teacher.
- Experience teaching across different age and ability ranges.
- Experience working in multiple international schools is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to the school's vision and mission.
