Accountant

Job Title: Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Transactions:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, sales, and payments.
- Verify and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.

- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement).
- Generate financial reports for management and stakeholders on a regular basis.

- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budgetary performance and report any variances.

- Auditing and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
- Support external audits and provide necessary documentation.

- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights into financial performance and trends.
- Recommend actions based on financial analysis and projections.

- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations.
- Implement and streamline accounting procedures and internal controls.

- Software Proficiency:
- Utilize accounting software to manage financial transactions and reports (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
- Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ethical behavior and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
