Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a diligent and experienced Cost Accountant to join our esteemed construction company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cost accounting within the construction industry, with a focus on managing financial aspects of projects. With a strong attention to detail and analytical mindset, the Cost Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate cost control and financial management throughout various construction projects.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee cost accounting functions for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Analyze project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts to identify variances and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare and maintain detailed cost reports, including cost estimates, budget allocations, and cost-to-complete projections.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop cost-effective strategies and optimize resource utilization.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of project expenses to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and subcontractor payments, to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts, providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to cost accounting in the construction sector.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience of 3 to 4 years as a Cost Accountant in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, practices, and techniques, with a focus on project cost control and analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends or anomalies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial calculations and reporting.
- Flexibility to work in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain locations as required by project assignments.
