Job Description - Network Engineer

Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales Support:

Provide networking support during pre-sales engineering design and implementation.

Assist in creating pre-sales quotes, estimation, and design.

Design and Implementation:

Design, install, configure, and test active components of IP networks as directed.

Configure, analyze, and troubleshoot active IP networks, including switches/routers, firewalls, DMS, wireless, and advanced IP Voice systems.

Address product-related issues with manufacturer TAC/support staff.

System Maintenance and Upgrades:

Recommend upgrades or system improvements on the maintained system as required.

Vendor Interaction:

Make inquiries to multiple industry vendors and equipment providers.

Maintain certifications and stay updated on technology developments in the networking field.

Implementation Support:

Support the Implementation Team as a Project Engineer, providing basic engineering support and detailed knowledge in the networking domain.

Documentation and Procedures:

Assist in the development of written procedures related to the position.

Continuous Learning:

Stay informed about the latest advancements in networking technology.

Other Tasks:

Perform other tasks related to the position as delegated by the direct manager or superior.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in networking.

Expertise in at least two or three of the following areas: Routing and switching, WiFi, DMS, Security, Structured Cabling, and Collaboration.

CCNA certification is a must.

Hands-on experience with NEC, CISCO, and AVAYA product ranges.

Experience in designing network systems.

Advanced skills in IP backbone structure, including LAN/WAN, firewall, and WIFI.
