Job Description

Job Title: Sous Chef

Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Sous Chef at Hilton, you will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the seamless operation of the kitchen and deliver exceptional experiences for our guests and members. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of kitchen management, including operational efficiency, food quality, guest satisfaction, and cost control. Specifically, you will be tasked with:

- Managing all facets of the kitchen, encompassing operational, quality, and administrative functions.
- Overseeing the provision of food to Food and Beverage outlets, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
- Addressing guest queries promptly and effectively, striving for positive outcomes.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and storage practices.
- Contributing to menu development by incorporating guest feedback and culinary innovation.
- Ensuring consistent production of high-quality food across all hotel food outlets.
- Handling customer relations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Optimizing resources to meet business needs through effective staff management.
- Upholding brand standards through team training and assessment.
- Leading and motivating the kitchen brigade to ensure a well-organized and inspired team.
- Controlling costs while maintaining standards and achieving financial targets.
- Collaborating with other departments and fostering positive working relationships.
- Ensuring compliance with hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Reporting maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues and promoting environmental awareness.
