Job Title: Accounting Advisory - Senior Associate

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Join our rapidly expanding Accounting Advisory team within PwC's Middle East Other Assurance practice, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality accounting solutions across various sectors. Your responsibilities will include:


- Client Deliverables: Create complex client deliverables of superior quality under strict deadlines, subject to review by managers and partners.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Delegate tasks to junior team members, offering guidance and mentorship to facilitate their professional growth and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Innovation and Problem-Solving: Propose innovative solutions and test new ideas to tackle complex challenges using a diverse range of tools and techniques.
- Industry Insight: Utilize advanced tools and techniques to extract valuable insights from current industry trends, collaborating effectively with team members to gather information from diverse sources.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a robust understanding of IFRS principles, preparing technical discussion papers for review with global industry experts and applying critical thinking to deliver technically sound solutions to clients.

Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in business studies, accounting, or finance; or equivalent qualification.
- Professional Qualifications: Must possess ACA, ACCA, CPA, or be in the final stages of obtaining one of these certifications.
- Experience: 3-5 years of audit or relevant experience in a Big 4 firm, preferably within the Middle East. Experience in accounting advisory engagements is highly advantageous.
- Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting conversions (IFRS, US GAAP, Local GAAP, IPSAS) and Middle East accounting or auditing practices is beneficial.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload effectively and thrive under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), strong analytical and research capabilities, and adept presentation and implementation skills.
- Travel: Willingness and flexibility to travel within the Middle East and internationally based on project requirements.
- Personal Attributes: Achievement-oriented with a flexible and adaptive approach. Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment to consistently deliver high-quality results.
- Ambition: Demonstrated commitment to developing a career in accounting advisory, aligned with the business goals and objectives.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively engage with regional and international stakeholders, including law firms, investment banks, and senior client management.
