Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist - Healthcare

Position Overview

We are looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle a variety of administrative tasks efficiently. As the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, you will play a key role in ensuring a welcoming and smooth experience at our facility.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet Visitors: Welcome visitors with a smiling and positive attitude, maintaining eye contact and making them feel comfortable.

- Determine Needs: Assess the needs of visitors and direct them to the appropriate area of the facility.

- Assist Doctors: Help doctors with responding to correspondence, including emails and letters.

- Maintain Medical Records: Update and maintain the medical record database to ensure patient information is current and accurate.

- Administrative Support: Perform additional administrative functions, such as providing patients with aftercare information.

- Patient Admissions: Handle patient admissions, ensuring all required information is encoded in the system, including emergency contact details and kin’s details.

- Patient Information Management: Ensure all mandatory patient identifiers (Patient’s First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, and Medical Record Number) are correctly entered and maintained in the system.

Requirements

- Experience: Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using medical record databases and other office software.

- Customer Service: A positive attitude and the ability to provide excellent customer service.

- Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

- Confidentiality: Understanding of and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare privacy regulations.
