Job Title: Senior Accountant - Aluminium & Glass Industry

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Oversee all accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), and cost accounting functions.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations, including UAE VAT and tax requirements.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance to support decision-making.
- Handle tax filings and ensure adherence to UAE tax regulations.
- Liaise with auditors and manage audit processes to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial records.
- Implement and oversee internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure reliability of financial information.
- Support senior management with financial planning, strategic initiatives, and decision-making processes.
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for issuance and processing of guarantees and Letters of Credit (LCs).

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the Aluminium & Glass industry in the UAE.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; familiarity with systems used in the industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards, tax regulations, and VAT compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels.
