Professional Job Description: Kitchen Assistant

Responsibilities:

- Assisting the Cook in various food preparation activities, including cleaning, cutting, chopping, and peeling food ingredients.

- Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas in accordance with company and industry hygiene codes, and adhering to health and safety standards.

- Washing, disinfecting, and properly storing cooking and kitchen utensils and equipment.

- Procuring, weighing, and effectively storing ingredients and food supplies.

- Operating a diverse range of kitchen appliances and instruments, such as cutters, knives, mixers, and ovens.

- Managing inventory, unloading supplies, and organizing the storeroom for efficient workflow.

Requirements and Skills:

The ideal candidate for the Kitchen Assistant position should possess the following:

- Proven experience in kitchen operations, with 3 to 5 years of relevant hands-on experience.

- In-depth understanding of food health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance in all aspects of kitchen activities.
