Job Title: Data Network Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

- System Engineering Services: Provide system engineering services including system design, implementation, configuration, testing, site supervision, and commissioning.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with vendors and internal/external stakeholders to select and implement compliant solutions, and manage the lifecycle from design to user acceptance.
- Acceptance Tests: Define, plan, and execute tasks required to complete Factory, Site, and Integrated Acceptance Tests.
- Risk Management: Identify risks associated with requirements and make engineering decisions to minimize these risks.
- Scope Management: Understand the scope applicable to assigned systems, identify scope changes, and assess relevant impacts.
- Team Collaboration: Work within a team of engineers and coordinate with them as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Experience: 7+ years in large-scale network and collaboration system design, implementation, site supervision, and commissioning.
- Networking Protocols: Expert knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, as well as routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP.
- LAN Switching: Expert knowledge of LAN switching including VLANs, VLAN aggregation, LAG, LACP, VRRP, PVLANs, Spanning Tree, MST, 802.1X, 802.1Q.
- Firewall and Security: Expert knowledge of firewall and security technologies including IPSEC/SSL VPN, ACL, App & User-ID, and firewall management tools.
- Certifications: Relevant vendor certifications such as Cisco or Fortinet preferred. Experience with Juniper portfolio (JUNOS, EX switching, SRX firewall) and Palo Alto Networks firewall.
- Cisco Technologies: Extensive experience with Cisco platforms and technologies such as Catalyst Switches, Nexus Switches, ISR and ASR Routers, UCS, ACI, DNA, and Firepower Next-Generation Firewall.
- IP Telephony and Collaboration: Experience with IP telephony and collaboration from various vendors.
- Cabling Infrastructure: Experience working with cabling infrastructure vendors.
- Network Monitoring Tools: Experience with network monitoring tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Syslog, packet capturing (Wireshark), NetBrain, network load testing, and application performance.
- Virtualization Platforms: Working knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, Xen, Oracle; relevant certification is a plus.
- PC Skills: Proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Project and Presentation Software, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Cisco Commerce Workspace: Experience with Cisco Commerce Workspace.
- Certifications: CCNA level certification required, CCNP preferred, CCIE a plus.
