Job Description


Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Read daily events to acknowledge any VIP arrivals.
2. Possess comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, their garnishes, contents, and preparation methods, and convey this information to guests in a polite and concise manner when asked.
3. Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner.
4. Utilize the POS system for sales transactions, check printing, check closing, and complete cash-out procedures.
5. Carry trays, bus and reset tables with linen, china, glass, and silver.
6. Ensure guests’ satisfaction and handle any problems that may arise, reporting issues and resolutions to a manager.
7. Follow cash and credit card procedures in line with accounting department guidelines.
8. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly restaurant throughout service.
9. Polish silver, refill condiments, and ensure work station is stocked appropriately at all times.
10. Report any guest comments regarding food and beverage to the manager.
11. Handle and maintain operating equipment conscientiously.
12. Learn and adhere to safety, sanitation, and hygiene policies.
13. Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
14. Keep complete knowledge of all F&B services, outlets, and hotel services/features.
15. Perform opening/closing side duties as assigned and set all tables according to standards.
16. Report any deviations from set standards and procedures to the manager.
17. Ensure all service and storage areas are kept safe and clean.
18. Help minimize waste, neglect, breakages, and mishandling of supplies and equipment.
19. Carry out light cleaning and maintenance of the outlet.
20. Assist other Food & Beverage Outlets in their operations during peak hours if needed.

Qualifications:

Personal Attributes:
- Average reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times.
- Effective and efficient handling of cash.
- Good communication and customer contact skills with strong problem resolution skills.
- Basic F&B product knowledge.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications:
- Secondary education.

Experience:
- Minimum 1-year food and beverage serving experience.
- Previous public contact and/or cashiering experience.
