Assistant Field Engineer

Responsibilities:

- Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety rules and regulations. Acquaint yourself with fire equipment in the area and follow the instructions of the Central Control Room (CCR) Operators during the shift.

- Coordination: Coordinate with CCR Operators on all activities impacting operations. Take prompt measures and alert CCR about sudden changes in operating parameters.

- Reporting: Report all activities, events, and abnormal behavior of equipment/auxiliaries to the CCR during the shift. Perform condition monitoring to ensure all equipment parameters are normal and within performance limits.

- Equipment Handling: Perform equipment changeovers based on preset schedules. Raise work requests or defect notes for faulty equipment.

- Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with CCR for isolations and lining up the equipment and system before and after maintenance. Maintain a tidy work area and ensure clean-up after maintenance work.

- Training and Familiarization: Assist in the training and familiarization of new local operators.

- SOP Adherence: Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

- Safety Gear and Risk Control: Use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow prescribed risk control measures.

- Deviation Reporting: Report any deviations in the Health and Safety Management System.

Requirements:

- Good communication skills in both English and Arabic.

This is a contract position within the Operations & Maintenance department based in Salalah, Dhofar, Oman. The candidate should be diligent, safety-conscious, and capable of effective communication in a dynamic operational environment.
