Job Description

Job Title: Projects Manager - Civil

As a Projects Manager in the Civil sector, you will oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are executed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of the project, managing risks, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear alignment on project objectives and deliverables.

2. Budget Management: Estimate project costs, prepare and monitor budgets, and control expenses throughout the project lifecycle. Identify potential cost overruns and implement corrective measures to stay within budget.

3. Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks to the project, including safety, environmental, regulatory, and unforeseen issues. Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.

4. Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure adherence to contractual agreements and handle any disputes that may arise.

5. Quality Control and Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure construction work meets industry standards and client expectations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor progress and address deviations from project plans.

6. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams. Facilitate effective communication and maintain positive relationships throughout the project.

7. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including engineers, architects, construction workers, and administrative staff. Provide guidance, resolve conflicts, and foster a collaborative work environment.

8. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate progress reports, financial reports, and other project documentation. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and that all documentation is complete and up-to-date.

9. Project Closure and Evaluation: Oversee the final stages of the project, including commissioning, client handover, and contract closeout. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

10. Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, building codes, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle. Stay informed about regulatory changes and adjust project plans and procedures as needed.
