Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Description:

The Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in achieving both long-term and short-term departmental goals by collaborating with the department head and providing leadership to the team. The primary focus is on effectively managing receivables, ensuring timely project completion, and preparing accurate revenue projections. The candidate is responsible for maintaining oversight of ongoing projects, conducting daily and weekly accounts receivable reconciliations, and implementing IFRS principles for revenue recognition.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Facilitate communication with clients regarding outstanding invoices.

2. Prepare daily and weekly accounts receivable reconciliations, providing comprehensive reports to managers.

3. Ensure accurate recognition of contract revenue in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

4. Monitor and track the progress and financial/work status of ongoing projects in coordination with the Projects Department, ensuring timely collection of invoices.

5. Generate monthly/quarterly revenue projections.

6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely revenue recognition and implement credit control measures as per company policies.

Skills Required:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is mandatory.

2. CA/CMA/CPA qualifications would be advantageous.

3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the accounting field is preferred.

4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

5. Proficiency in English; knowledge of the Arabic language is an added advantage.

6. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

7. Strong financial analysis skills.
