Position Title: Wood Carpenter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Wood Carpenter to join our farm, responsible for cutting, fabricating, and installing wooden and other structures according to specifications. The ideal candidate should have excellent hand dexterity, an eye for detail, and a good understanding of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with minimal supervision and adhering to health and safety standards is crucial in this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements.

2. Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.

3. Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements.

4. Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings using raw materials or pre-constructed items.

5. Lay out floorings, roofings, or drywalls, ensuring they are leveled and compatible.

6. Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items, installing them where designated.

7. Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed.

8. Build scaffolding and other construction structures.

Requirements and Skills:

1. Proven experience as a carpenter.

2. Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials.

3. Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques, installation, and construction methods.

4. Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.).

5. Ability to read technical documents and drawings.

6. Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.

7. Good knowledge of English.

8. Good understanding of basic math.

9. Good physical condition and endurance.

10. High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: KD150.000 - KD300.000 per month
