Job Description

Job Title: Assurance - Risk Support - Finance Operations Manager

Purpose of the Role:
The Finance Operations Manager in Assurance - Risk Support will lead and manage risk-related services including Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, and Financial Reporting. The role involves solving complex business issues from strategy to execution, with a focus on ensuring high-quality assurance deliverables and adherence to risk, quality, and independence standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Risk and Assurance Management:
- Provide oversight and governance in risk assurance services, including Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, and Financial Reporting.
- Utilize feedback and reflection for personal development and addressing development areas.

- Problem Solving and Critical Thinking:
- Apply critical thinking to unstructured problems and use a variety of tools and techniques to extract insights from industry trends.
- Review work for quality, accuracy, and relevance, and communicate clearly and effectively.

- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage with diverse teams throughout audit phases and ensure tasks meet timelines and KPIs.

- Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure compliance with the firm’s code of ethics, risk, quality, and independence matters.
- Conduct compliance reviews and support adherence to VAT and billing protocols.

- Reporting and Analysis:
- Manage reporting on backlog, net investment analysis, and debtor tracking.
- Conduct monthly reviews of credit notes, provisions, job codes, direct costs, and VAT compliance.
- Provide updates and analysis on unsold gaps and revenue/expense related requests.

- Champion Roles:
- Act as the Assurance iPower Champion, providing support and training on iPower usage.
- Serve as the Assurance VAT & Billing Champion, ensuring compliance in UAE & KSA.
- Oversee Salesforce & Opportunity management for Assurance.

- Project Management:
- Handle mid-month and month-end rollovers and address ad hoc requests.
- Support and drive business development and client relationship building efforts.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in a relevant role, preferably within a Big 4 firm.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written) is a plus.
- Strong business development and client relationship building skills.
- Proven project management skills and the ability to challenge norms and create effective teams.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools and technologies is a plus.
