Job Description

Job Title: VP of Commercial & Supply Chain Management

Lead the creation and implementation of the overall Commercial & Supply Chain strategy at OQ8, aligning with the company's strategic direction for driving Global Commercial and Supply Chain management. This involves ensuring strategy execution, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance, preparing timely and accurate reports, leading continuous improvements, and overseeing talent management.

Main Accountabilities:

1. Strategy:
- Create overall Commercial & Supply Chain strategy aligned with CEO, BoD, and Operations.
- Develop midterm strategy for cost improvement and operational efficiency.

2. Commercial:
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence.
- Develop pricing strategies, cultivate client relationships, and explore new business opportunities.
- Oversee contract negotiations, procurement requirements, and ensure compliance.

3. Supply Chain Management:
- Optimize supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Lead Inbound Logistics, Sales & Operation Planning, Customer Relation, and Logistics.
- Ensure efficient operations in order-to-delivery processes and effective procurement.
- Implement efficient supplier management practices and lead the revision of customer service policies.

4. Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

5. Compliance:
- Develop and oversee the implementation of policies, procedures, and controls.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations and champion sustainability initiatives.

6. Reports:
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all reports for Commercial & Supply Chain Management.

7. Continuous Improvements:
- Lead continuous improvement of departmental systems, processes, and practices.
- Provide process optimization and identify areas of improvement.

8. Talent Management:
- Provide challenges to talented individuals for optimal performance.
- Manage HR aspects related to assigned staff, including workforce planning and performance management.

Key Interactions:

Internal: Project teams, Operators, Shift supervisor, Maintenance Coordinator, Process Trainer, Technical Services Department, Engineer production, All TSD Team Leaders and Engineers, Operations, Maintenance, and Procurement & Contracts.

External: Contractors, Vendors & Suppliers

Notable Working Conditions:

Office environment, intensive computer screen use, sporadic visits to operation sites.

Education Requirements:

- BSc in Business or similar
- Master’s degree in Commercial/Supply Chain (preferred but not required)
Language:

Bilingual: Arabic and English. Solid in technical engineering terminology is a must. Fluent in German would be a plus.

Background and Experience:

- 18+ years of relevant experience in Commercial & Supply Chain for Global markets
- Experience in Commercial Operations
- Experience creating Supply Chain plans involving Inbound Logistics, Sales & Operation Planning, Customer Relation, and Logistics.
- Experience controlling supply chain operational and financial plans (integrated margins).
