Job Title: IT Technical Support Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced IT Technical Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling small projects independently, managing internal systems, providing technical support, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Project Management: Handle small projects independently related to desktops, printers, laptops, Wi-Fi, switching and routing systems, and end-user client systems.
- System Maintenance: Manage and maintain internal systems, address breakdowns, coordinate with vendors and the Head Office IT team.
- System Administration: Perform regular system upkeep, including backups and basic system administration tasks.
- Reporting: Prepare reports and enter data into the system. Report to MCSL daily for updates on call situations, spare parts requirements, etc.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance services to ensure the longevity and performance of IT systems.
- Patch Management: Provide and apply patches to client systems as appropriate.
- Cross-Department Communication: Maintain good communication and relationships with other departments to ensure cohesive operations.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT technical support.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting desktops, printers, laptops, Wi-Fi, switching, and routing systems.
- Strong knowledge of system administration, including backups and patch management.
- Experience with preventive maintenance services.
- Ability to handle small IT projects independently.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Certification in IT-related fields such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar.
- Experience with specific systems and software used within the organization.
- Knowledge of current IT trends and technologies.
