QC Piping Inspector

Job Title: QC Piping Inspector

The QC Piping Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of piping systems in industrial projects, including oil and gas production and petrochemical projects. This role involves performing inspections and testing in accordance with engineering codes and standards, as well as verifying contractor compliance with contract requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Inspection & Testing:
- Conduct QC inspections and testing of piping systems and related materials to ensure compliance with engineering codes and standards (e.g., ANSI/ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8; ASME BPVC Sections V and IX; AWS D1.1).
- Verify that welding and testing procedures meet specified requirements.
- Perform document reviews and inspections with minimal supervision.

- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure that all inspection and testing activities adhere to ISO 9001 QMS requirements and other relevant engineering discipline drawings, standards, material specifications, and construction methods.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and compliance.

- Knowledge & Application:
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering codes and standards, including ISO 9001 QMS and inspection procedures in one or more disciplines.
- Apply knowledge of engineering discipline drawings and QC inspection and test procedures effectively.

- Communication:
- Provide clear documentation and reports on inspection and testing results.
- Communicate effectively with contractors and other project stakeholders to address compliance issues and ensure project standards are met.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Experience & Education:
- High school diploma with at least six (6) years of direct work experience in QC inspection and testing of industrial project materials, equipment, systems, and facilities under construction and pre-commissioning.
- Previous experience or Aramco approval in piping projects is advantageous.
- CBT (Certified Business Technician) pass exam is a plus.

- Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of engineering codes and standards relevant to the scope of work.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
